Yellingham starts TONIGHT!

Yellingham starts tonight at Make.Shift Art Space (the sign still says Jinx) at 306 Flora Street, here in Bellingham, WA with a suggested donation of $5 (just like every Yellingham show all weekend). Doors open at 7:30 PM and maps / schedules will be available for the full weekend. The maps will be available at all the shows at Make.Shift for those of you who can’t make Friday night’s show. For the full schedule, please view the facebook event page.

In the meantime, check out the recent What’s Up Magazine article and an audio interview with Yellingham volunteers (click here for the MP3) from Hollow Earth Radio. We appreciate the increased press the fest has received this year!

Also, Yellingham has joined Instagram (search Yellingham in the “find members” menu) and we’d love to see your photos from the weekend. Please add the #yellingham tag to your photo captions or photo comments so we can see them too!

51 hours left to donate to the Kickstarter campaign

Even though we have exceeded the $500 mark which guarantees our funding (THANK YOU!), we’d love to be able to provide more music fans with awesome band merch, compilation CDs, Yellingham t-shirts, dinner with the organizers and more. It’s important to note that at the $50 donation level you get access to every show all weekend (that’s couch change compared to Sasquatch). The more money we raise, the more we can pay all of the bands and the more successful Yellingham is going to be in future years. Special thanks to the Bellingham Herald and Sound on the Sound for helping to spread the word!

Thank you!

We have officially hit and exceeded our $500 goal on our Kickstarter page! Currently at $515, it took about 24 hours to hit $500 and we couldn’t be more stoked! However, we could still use your help. More donations means we have the ability to pay bands more, giving us a better reputation with bands, which keeps Yellingham going in the future. Plus you can score some sweet stuff! Thank you to everyone who has donated, it’s awesome to see such support for Yellingham!

Yellingham’s Kickstarter is Live

Planning on coming to the fest this year? Can’t make it to the event but want to support Bellingham’s house show music festival? Donate to our new Kickstarter page now through March 24! If you donate through Kickstarter you could get some awesome Yellingham merch, or even a weekend of free room and board while you attend! Head over to the Yellingham Kickstarter page for more details!

Please note – you will NOT be charged anything until March 24 only if the $500 goal is met (which we are fairly certain it will).

Yellingham Art Contest – Open to everyone!

This year we want to showcase art from people who support Yellingham, so we’re opening this up to our friends and friends of friends to enter their submission of visual art. We want to show off your support on merch we make for the fest like buttons, shirts, posters, and other related items. We’re open to ideas but keep in mind that this is for Yellingham and it should incorporate something you love about this event or something that reminds you of Bellingham.

In the past we’ve had pancakes, the Horizon Lines ship, houses where previous house shows were played during the fest, and more. Any form of visual art is accepted from paint, paper, multi-media, graphic design, etc. Don’t be afraid to get weird with it. Send your high-res art to yellinghamfest@gmail.com. If there’s any questions, message us on the Yellingham Fan Page or via our contact page. Your submissions should be sent in with your name, type of medium, and even a title if you wish. Please have this to us in the next few months and happy creating!
